Board meetings and bank performance in Africa

This study examines the relationship between a board meeting and banks performance in Africa. paper provides insight on this question after taking into account endogeneity of meetings performance. Specifically, we use GMM technique sample 635 from 48 countries Africa 2000 to 2016 test our hypothesis found that more meetings, averagely 6, reduce banks’ sub-Sahara In Northern context, with an average 7.68, however, document positive significant association bank Our result suggests fewer enhances shareholder value Banks Sub-Sahara but not their counterparts North insights policymakers responsible for improving governance mechanisms African banks.
